We had a very windy day at Lake Michigan Beach where Rachel and Michael were married however it was a wonderful ceremony. We were all blown away...along with one beach umbrella. ;-)
The reception was no exception. Held at the beautiful Veranda @The Whitcomb in St. Joseph MI. We danced into the night and had a great time. Lots of energy on the dance floor from everyone involved.
All Star Productions was invited to film and DJ Rachel and Michael's wedding here in Southwest Michigan which is well known as a place for destination weddings.
Many different shade of light as the sun sets out over the lake and filters into The Veranda. It was a fun night filled with great food, great music and great people.

Filmed at Dewey Cannon Park in Three Oaks, MI. It was a warm and humid day but everyone was 'cool'. ;-) We had a great time with Joan and William along with their friends and family.
A very fun oriented day which included several special dances and a 'candy toss' for the kids. Two cakes...one of which was designed as a football field. Really neat. It is always special to film someone's wedding but when you are asked to film again for the same family...well, that is extra special. It was nice to see familiar faces as we set up for shots and prepped for the day.
Erich and Catherine's families are just plain fun which is very evident throughout this entire overview. Catherine is a sweetheart and Erich is one of those guys who everyone likes right away. A very powerful combination, if I can say it that way.

It is not to often that I only travel 1 mile to film a wedding. Beautiful Paw Paw Lake was the perfect setting for Steve & Kelly's lake side wedding at the Waterfront in Coloma, Michigan. When you think of a beautiful June wedding, you expect warm breezes and hot temperatures...well, not this June wedding. It was cold and very, very windy! But the sun was shining and I don't think Sean and Christine noticed the cold, windy weather too much! Their gorgeous sunset wedding overlooking Lake Michigan was spectacular. I am always amazed at the beauty of Southwest Michigan, no matter where I am and what the temperature is. Congratulations, Sean & Christine, I loved the fact that you dressed your dogs in wedding clothing and had photos taken with them, that was fun!

Such a beautiful day for a wedding overlooking Lake Michigan at this quaint little resort in Union Pier. I loved all the personal touches that Megan and Anthony included in their decor. Simply charming!

The little bottle of holy water that Megan is holding in the video is from St. Anne de Beaupre in Canada... something her Grandma Ellen gave to her father...she never got to meet her grandma as she passed before she was born. Your grandma would be very proud Megan.

The beautiful paintings that you see in the reception room were painted by Anthony himself. What a great artist!

The air was brisk but we were warmed by the love and devotion of these two as they joined their lives and families together.

The day was windy, slightly overcast and a bit on the chilly side, perfect weather for filming a wedding. One of my favorite moments of day was during the wedding ceremony. Kate and Ben recited some of their vows to each other before the pastor could even ask them to repeat after him, they just couldn't wait to say those words to each other.

We started out with a rainy, overcast day...however, the ceremony was held in the church so no problem there. The reception was being held in a large tent near the beach so we were hoping for beautiful weather for Jennifer & George's Wedding Day. As it turns out the evening was perfect and everyone had an amazing time at the reception. Jennifer commented that there wasn't anything that could dampen her spirits..."I will be married to George at the end of this day and that is all that matters!"

The weather could not have been more beautiful, a perfect day for an outdoor wedding overlooking the bluff of Lake Michigan. There was a lot going on that night. Everybody was there...you might even catch a glimpse of Beyonce singing "Single Ladies," minus hair and make-up. Clark and Jessica met during drivers ed, which explains why they were revved up for this amazing wedding. This was one crazy party. Full of fun and laughter. This time, I must confess, I failed miserably at cramming 10 hours of coverage with 2 cameras into a 5 or even a 10 minute overview. Long Overview or Short Film. Both are correct. This overview covers a lot of ground. Starting with Matt and Jessica's rehearsal and all the way through to their romantic walk on the beach. So much happens on your wedding day it's hard to keep track. For the bride and groom it is a wonderful and sometimes crazy series of events. Stay on that surf board until the wave slows down at the end of the night. Many hours of editing go into a wedding DVD, but the results are well worth the wait. There is nothing like an outdoor, beachside wedding. As I began filming in the morning at the beauty salon it started raining. Gretchen just continued on getting ready and was really enjoying her wedding day. It rained off and on all day. Gretchen smiled and ignored the rain. When she arrived at her wedding, the rain stopped and the sun broke through the clouds! There was an awwwww, that broke out too among the guests! Everyone was very grateful to God that the rains had finally stopped and Gretchen and Cory had a beautiful dry beachside wedding. Well it was almost dry, except for the tears that flowed....

Here is a slideshow I just finished for a special birthday. Troy's wife Michelle wanted to surprise her husband with a different kind of gift. So Michelle and I met in secret, looking over photos, choosing music and squeezing 40 years of living into 15 minutes. Of course we were doing all of this while trying to avoid a curious Troy and with toddler Evan just as curious about what was going on. Here is the first of two installments of the "Curtain Call" photo session that my son & I filmed. I had so much footage that I couldn't decide what cut and leave on the editing room floor. So the next installment will soon follow. Actually there is no film on the editing floor anymore, its in my computer somewhere. We all had lots of fun and it hardly seemed like work at all.

What a fun day I had working with my son Jordan, (he helped me film the photo shoot) Wedding Planner Jessica from Stella Event Design, Photographers: Ben from Ben Pancoast Photography, (these are his photos below) Leda from LVL Photography and Justin from JL Photography, and of course Jordan and I, the videographers. Erica Henninger from Salon 1341 in Stevensville did Lisa's hair and David from Veranda at the Whitcomb provided us with a lovely room to use for home base.

Leda had a great idea to give our local brides an opportunity to put on their wedding dress one more time to get some seriously, really cool pictures out and about in the St. Joseph and Benton Harbor area. I had a blast! What a privilege and opportunity I had to work with such a fun bunch of talented people.

Dale and I had just filmed Dan & Lisa's Wedding the week before, so they were fresh off the wedding whirlwind. They are both such fun people and so photogenic, don't cha think? What good sports they were about having 8 cameras in their faces, flashes go off, traipsing to numerous locations and still smiling! They were probably thinking to themselves what the heck are these people doing to us?

But take a look at the photos (the video of all the fun, will be up shortly) and I am sure they would do it again, in an instant! If you think this is something you might like to participate in you can contact Jessica at Stella Event Design and she will let you know when the next "Curtain Call" is going to be held. Wouldn't you like to put your wedding dress on just one more time?

Cool place in downtown Benton Harbor, complete with 2 green doors and an old shovel we found for props.

I think this is the old, abandoned House of David Fruit Market in Benton Harbor. How appropriate, we are were all a little fruity that day.

Of course, we had to go to our beautiful Lake Michigan!

Mr. Coloma 2009 Overview

Each pageant has a theme which dictates the music used in the show. We then incorporate these songs into our videos. We edited this song for the show and it was faded out after the ladies were finished with their presentation.

This is the Mr Coloma Pageant so we used the entire song edit and mixed in a lot of footage of the guys and gals behind the scenes rehearsal along with the live event. Not necessarily in the same order as it happened that night.

This song called out for fast moving action, just like Elvis, so I hope you enjoy it. For those of us who remember the Ed Sullivan Show we will only show this video from the waist up.

It's a lot of work but we always have a blast and these fine contestants will have an action packed DVD of that fun filled night.

30 Years!

Well, today is my 30th wedding anniversary! Wow! I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday that we said our own "I Do's." We went to high school together and he was one of those "popular guys," who was in all the talent shows, marching band, school plays and he played in a rock n' roll band. Oh Yeah! Some of you older ones might remember Atlantic City Steel Pier. He was the cutest lead singer ever. I remember what a good band they were, I can still hear the music they play at the "Back Alley," which is now "Pebblewood." "Stairway To Heaven and Maybe I'm Amazed," was my favorites. And I am still amazed, how much fun we have and how much I still love him. I love his sense of humor, his bad jokes, even though I roll my eyes sometimes. Yes, I would marry you again! Thank you for our 3 handsome sons (they take after you, you know, including the bad jokes). I love you always.....

Another group of wonderful young ladies...Dale and I are glad we are not the judges! All of them would be the queen. We can tell you that after spending just one day of filming their pageant that all the young ladies love their chairperson Shari Westerhof very much. I know all the people involved with the pageant must work alot of hours to put this together. Their work and dedication definitely shows as pageant night came together was a truly entertaining program.

The best way to describe it? Wow!! What a transformation the Mendel Center went through in preparation for this amazing couple. Like stepping into another world. It was so much fun just to be there not to mention the blast we had filming the wedding and reception. The ultimate dream wedding. Kelly and Matt make such a great couple and their families are wonderful people. Thank you for inviting us along. At the end of the night we pinched ourselves, then clicked our heels three times 'cause that was the only way to get home.

Sarah and Ryan couldn't have picked a better place to have their beautiful fall wedding. Sarrett Nature Center was setting for their wedding day. Sarah's mom was in a car accident the day before the wedding, and as a result of that accident, her leg was pretty badly broken. What a trooper her mom was though, she came straight from the hospital to her daughters' wedding. Now that is love and determination.

Our middle son Matthew married a lovely young lady name Katrina. We had a beautiful 80 degree autumn day. Katrina was a beautiful bride with a gorgeous dress. I know Katrina and her mom work very hard to make everything so pretty. Thank you to everyone who help make Matthew and Katrina's day so amazing. To my Mom and Tom, I couldn't have done everything I needed to do without your help.

I was pretty good till I walked up the stairs to get in line to be seated, and I looked up and saw my good looking husband and all three of my sons in tuxes, time stood still for just a moment as I thought how handsome they all looked. I thought to myself, how in the world did my sons grow up so fast, it seems like the last thing I remember is that they were all little squirts, then I cried and ruined my makeup. To me it crazy how you can have so many memories in just one moment of time. Anyway, here's some photos of that magical day with videos to follow soon. I wish I could post all of them, but my new daughter in law loves pictures as much as I do, all 1,500 of them.

What a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. Trisha looks so stunning among all the pretty colors. Mike and Trisha just blended in with scenery, sort of like they belonged there. The wedding and reception was held at the Blue Dress Barn which was decorated so spectacular. The pre-wedding photo shoot was downtown St. Joseph. I thought Mike with his groomsmen posing in front of all those old cars was really cool.

Another beautiful summer day, just for the bride, Sommer. How appropriate is that? The church was unlike any church I have seen for a while and to think it exists in Benton Harbor. What a treasure. We had the privilege to work with Amy Witkowski, from Meister-Witkowski Photography. You can tell she loves her job, plus she takes lovely pictures.

Sommer and Chris looked way cool in that car at the beach sporting sun glasses and all, what fun! Their reception was at the Heritage Center in St. Joseph. Everything was just beautiful in there. I loved all the family pictures you had displayed, what a nice touch. Jackie you and your family did an awesome job planning all that.

I love to watch the brides getting ready. All the details. Emily looked so beautiful, just a glowing bride. I loved the fact that you wore your mother's veil from her wedding. How special. I was glad I could capture some of the those special moments that you tend to forget about when it is all said and done.

Emily and Alex were married in St. Joseph at the Band Shell. Alex's family came all the way from England to attend their son's wedding. Their reception was held at the Blue Dress Barn which always looks beautiful. I think Emily took out a row of lights throwing her bouquet. That was to funny.
